very clean and spacious, making us feel comfortable during our stay. However, the hotel could use some updates in the common areas to make it more inviting.

Not as advertised!
Man, this place was rough. Walked in and it smelled bad. The bathtub looked like it hadn't been cleaned in ages, and the sheets were stained. I sure didn't expect that! On the plus side, the bar was decent and had some nice mixed drinks. But seriously, I'd rather sleep in my car than stay here again.

The room was comfortable, with a clean bed and ample towels. The staff was exceptionally helpful, especially the owner, who assisted me in arranging a ride to the airport. The hotel, while in need of some refurbishment, did provide good service during my stay.
The facilities need improvement.

Couple seeking comfort
The lady at the front desk was super nice! She really made us feel welcomed and at home during a rough time when we came in around 11 at night.

The bed in my King Room was pretty comfortable, no complaints there. But I found some areas a bit outdated, and the bathroom could have used a better cleaning. It wasn't the worst, but definitely not a top-tier experience.

missingWrote a review on Jun 11comfortable bedlocal diningdilapidated facility
The location offers quick access to local gems for dining, perfect for a satisfying meal. The bed provided some relief after a long day on the road, and the towels were ample enough.
The state of the facility is pretty rough. dilapidated areas and remnants of past decorations make the atmosphere unsettling. The rooms had a distinct odor that I found distracting, and basic maintenance seems lacking, as I noticed leaking in the bathroom and stained linens. The pool area looked abandoned and overgrown, not at all inviting. It’s also disheartening to see the supposed restaurant remains shuttered with no sign of revival, leaving options limited. I expected better from a place advertised as a decent stop, but it felt more like a way station than a hotel.

Exceptional Service with a Homey Feel
During my stay, I was amazed by the warmth and kindness of the staff, especially the front desk lady who went out of her way to make me feel comfortable with my pets. The accommodations were budget-friendly and pet-friendly, making it a great choice for traveling with dogs. However, the hotel could use some renovations as it felt a bit outdated in areas.

The smoothies were a delightful surprise—straight-up fresh and bursting with flavor. Nearby, local gems like The Rustic Farmhouse had hearty bites that are true DuBois classics. Can't forget the local coffee joint, serving brews that hit just right!
We couldn’t even stay here. it was so run down. The parking lot looked like a junkyard, and the lobby was a straight dumpster fire. The staff? Let's just say they didn’t win any hospitality awards. We hightailed it to a better spot when we heard the horror stories!

the seasonal pool was nice to have on hand. the friendly front desk staff made check-in easier. the location is close to good food options, which was a plus during my short stay. even though it’s a small town, having a clean bed is essential.

good service but needs updates
I found the staff with exceptional attitude, especially the front desk lady who greeted us with a genuine smile every time. Having two large dogs, I truly appreciated the pet-friendly environment that made our stay much easier during this tough time. Also, the garden view from our room was a beautiful touch that added to our comfort.
The hotel decor felt outdated and could use some modernization.

Just a prime choice for a weekend in DuBois with value for money. The bathroom wasn’t cleaned and had hair all over it. Avoid staying if cleanliness is a priority.

missingWrote a review on Mar 12friendly staffcomfortable bedunsafe doordirty towelspoor maintenance
The only highlight was the friendly front desk staff, but that hardly made up for the terrible conditions. Moldy carpets and a non-locking exit door posed safety concerns, and the lack of cleanliness was alarming—not just the stained towels but the overall room appearance. This place does not match the photos online and feels poorly maintained, leaving a very negative impression.
